She departed this life on December 14, 2021. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie Faye Stewart, Willie Lee Granger and Willie Williams, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her husband, Earl Lonnie Thomas; children, Candace Thomas, Joseph (Sherry) Thomas and Joshua (India) Thomas; grandchildren, Julieanna Thomas, Cameron Reese, Maleah Reese, Lane Thomas, Gabriel Thomas and JJ Thomas; siblings, Betty Carroll, Alonzo Granger, Jeremiah Granger, Herman (Shirley) Granger, Ester (Donald) Gordon and Jeanette Granger-Ward.
