Ouida Marie Bond, a resident of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021. She was 89.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Coley Holloway and David Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm on the day of the service.
Ouida was born on January 13, 1932 in Geneva County to Wade and Mable McDonald Battle. She resided in Houston County most of her life. Ouida met and married the love of her life, Billy Joe Bond on December 13, 1952. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family and gardening. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a "Prayer Warrior." Ouida was a long-time member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Billy Joe Bond; her sons, Kim (June) Bond, Steve "Cowboy" (Patti) Bond and Ricky (Selena) Bond; her grandchildren, Corey (Bri) Bond, Hunter (Melinda) Bond, Delancey (Tate) Fowler, Lindsey (Richard) Meadows, Candace (Drew) Johnston, Katie (Holden) Thomley, Magan (Joseph) Parker and Matt (Christine) Bond; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
