Pam Riley

June 25, 1962 — December 5, 2024

Terri "Pam" Riley, a beacon of joy and kindness, passed away on December 5, 2024, in Dothan, Alabama, leaving behind a legacy of love and selflessness. Pam was a cherished sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and compassion touched everyone she met. She was born into a close-knit family and remained the heart of it throughout her life.

Pam was a proud 1981 graduate of Ashford Academy, where she formed many lifelong friendships and memories. Her academic achievements were only the beginning of a life marked by dedication and service to others. Following her education, Pam joined the team at Sam's Club, where she worked from 1991 until 2009. She thrived in many roles, but her favorite was being the door greeter. It was here that Pam's radiant personality shone brightest, welcoming customers with her infectious smile and open heart. Her ability to never meet a stranger and engage with everyone she encountered made her a beloved figure in the community.

At the core of Pam's life was her family. She is survived by her devoted sister, Lisa (Chris) Brackett; her loving nephews, Jeffrey (Misty) Golden and Brent (Dana) Golden; and her caring brother-in-law, David Rabon. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews, Lauren Golden, Madison Golden, Allyson Brackett, Carrie Brackett, Solomon Brackett, Chandler Golden, Hunter Golden, and Wyatt Golden, and several cousins, who will miss her guidance and ever-present support. Pam was the glue that held her family together, often acting as the peacemaker and always ensuring that love prevailed in any situation.

Pam's interests were a reflection of her loving nature. She was the personification of joy, always full of life and love for the Lord. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and her relationships. She had a remarkable ability to light up any room she entered, and her selfless nature meant she often put the needs of others before her own. Pam's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the impact one person can have on the world around them.

A celebration of Pam’s life will be held at 2 pm on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Plummer officiating. Pam will be laid to rest in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1-2 pm. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff of Westside Terrace on Mulberry Hall for the love and compassion shown to them during this difficult time.

Pam's life was a reminder that the simplest acts of kindness can be the most profound. Her legacy will inspire those she left behind to carry forward her light and love. As we say goodbye to Terri "Pam" Riley, we celebrate the extraordinary life she led and the countless lives she touched with her grace and generosity. Her memory will be cherished forever.
