Peggy was born to the late C. Bell and Jake Woodham on August 15, 1935.  During her early years, she could usually be found working at the family business, Woodham's IGA. She graduated from Dothan High School in 1954.  Peggy attended Troy University and was crowned Miss Troy during her Freshman year. Peggy married the love of her life, William Bill Buntin.  While raising their 3 children, Peggy enjoyed painting, sketching, and writing. She also enjoyed playing golf, long walks, and gardening. Many weekends were spent at Lake Seminole fishing and waterskiing with her family. Peggy's passion for traveling collided with her love for art. After her many trips abroad, she could be found in her studio pouring over her photographs and painting her tribute to the many places she visited.

Mrs. Buntin was preceded in death by her husband, William Bill Buntin and by her 2 brothers, Archie Woodham and Charles Woodham.

Survivors include her son, Joe Bonnie Buntin, Columbia, SC; her daughter, Kay Joe Hanks, Dothan, AL; her son, Patrick Buntin, Tupelo, MS; her 3 grandchildren, William Tyler Hanks, Dothan, Marissa Cate Buntin, Columbia, SC, and Cameron Cami Bailey Buntin, Tupelo, MS; several nieces and nephews.
