Peggy Marler Pruitt, a resident of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at a local facility. She was 84.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 11:00 am in Sunset Memorial Park with Dr. Craig Carlisle officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fountain of Love at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle or First United Methodist Respite Care Ministry Fund.
Peggy was born on June 15, 1937 in Moundville, Alabama, then moved to the Birmingham area and was a graduate of Etowah High School in Gadsden, Alabama where she met the love of her life, Lloyd Pruitt. She was a faithful homemaker raising her two sons as they moved around until 1978 when they moved to Dothan. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She loved everything about the lake life; the house, visiting with friends and cookouts.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Pruitt.
Survivors include her sons, Scott Pruitt and Keith (Tracy) Pruitt; and her grandchildren, Joey (Madi) Pruitt and Mary Beth Pruitt.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Joey Pruitt, Josh Hughes, David Crutchfield, and Butch Ferguson.
