Phillip David Stephens

July 16, 1961 — June 11, 2013

Phillip David Stephens, 51, of Panama City Beach, Florida June 11, 2013 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 5 pm Monday, June 17, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Coley Holloway, Rev. David Linn and Rev. Scott Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted.

Phillip was born July 16, 1961 in Houston County, Alabama and lived the early years of his life in Slocomb.  He was a 1981 graduate of Slocomb High School and later received his business degree from Troy University. Phillip enjoyed weight lifting, playing on the computer, especially on E-Bay, he loved Auburn Football and taking care of his animals and his yard.  He was a huge jokester and loved Lady GaGa. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law Todd Branch.

Survivors include his wife Debbie Lynn Hyde-Stephens of Panama City Beach, FL; his daughters, Jodi Lynn Stephens of Panama City Beach, FL, and Lacey Stephens of Orlando, FL; his mother, Sybil Stephens of Dothan, AL; mother-in-law, Frances Hyde of Panama City Beach, FL; his father David Stephens and his wife Maggie of Dothan, AL; his sister, Beth Stephens Branch of Dothan, AL; brother, Jeff Stephens of Dothan, AL; sisters-in-law, Shree Justo of Remlap, AL, Lisa Hyde-Bedsole of Dothan, AL, Shelia Hyde Goodwin of Holly Pond, AL; brothers-in-law, Steve Hyde and his wife Sonya of Oneonta, AL, and Mike Hyde and his wife Terry of Locust Fork, AL; nieces and nephews, Samantha Justo Perez and her husband Ricky of Locust Fork, AL, Joey Justo of Locust Fork, AL, Hayden Bedsole of Dothan, AL, Madi Bedsole of Dothan, AL, Zach Hughes of Dothan, AL, Breanna Branch of Dothan, AL, Tucker Branch of Dothan, AL, Ashley Stephens Yohn and her husband Levi of Chipley, FL; great-nieces and nephews, Jerod Perez of Locust Fork, AL, Annalynn Yohn of Chipley, FL, and Nicholi Yohn of Chipley, FL; multiple great aunts and great uncles, cousins and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Hayden Bedsole, Joey Justo, Zach Hughes, Mike Bedsole, Steve Hyde and Jeff Stephens.
