Ray Charles Graham

Ray Charles Graham, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in a local hospital.  He was 61.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 25, 2016 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the funeral home.

Mr. Graham was born on June 25, 1954 in Shorterville, Alabama and resided there the early years of his life.  He was a 1972 graduate of Abbeville High School.  Mr. Graham joined the US Army and served for 3 years and was later employed with Alabama Power for 36 years until his retirement in 2016.

He leaves to cherish his memories his brothers and sisters, Rheadell Porter, Alvin Jerome Porter, and Cynthia Porter, all of Shorterville, AL, Varlene Graham, of North Carolina, Kenneth Graham, and James Graham, both of Jersey City, NJ, Dineh F. Graham, of Philadelphia, PA; his aunts and an uncle, Ms. Doris Lewis, of Shorterville, AL, Ms. Dorothy Graham, of Kinsey, AL, Mr. Willie H. Graham, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Ms. Christel Graham, of Lakeland, FL, Ms. R. L. Reeves, Ms. Clara M. Whatley, and Ms. Irene Whatley, all of Shorterville, AL; his cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.  He also leaves to cherish a very special loving pet, Let-Let.
