Raymond Charles Rambo, Sr., 72, of Dothan passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at a local hospital.

rnFuneral services will be held 10 am Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. rnMr. Rambo was born July 29, 1939 in Mobile, AL and lived the early part of his life there. He moved to Dothan in 1979 and was employed with Farley Nuclear Plant for several years until his retirement in 2004. Preceded in death by his wife Patricia "Pat" Rambo and parents AC and Kathleen Rambo. rnSurvivors include his son Charles Rambo April of Dothan; daughters, Lynn Williford Tommy of Dothan and Joy Land Earl of Gilbertown, AL; 7 grandchildren, Marty Powell, Jessica Powell, Tiffany Williford, Tori Williford, Austin Rambo, Cole Rambo, and Amanda Land; 2 great-grandchildren. rnServing as pallbearers will be Jeff Courtney, Johnny Wilkes, Jack Hunt, Bobby Hughes, Johnny Williford, and Woody Clark. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
