Rex Quattlebaum

Rex Quattlebaum, 50, a resident of Cowarts died Wednesday August 12, 2015.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scottie Hatcher and Rev. Brian Presley officiating.  Burial will follow in Piney Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6-8:00 p.m.

Rex was born September 3, 1964 in Houston County and he resided here all of his life. He was a 1982 graduate of Wicksburg High School and received his degree in Computer Science from Troy University in 1986. He was employed with AAA Cooper for over 33 years as a computer analyst and was currently working with McLeod Software of Birmingham, AL. Rex was an avid outdoorsman and really loved hunting. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, of Cowarts, where he served as a Deacon.

Survivors include his wife Lorinda Quattlebaum; his son Will Quattlebaum; his parents, Thomas and Jo Ann Quattlebaum; brothers, Scott Jennifer Quattlebaum and Doug Carla Quatttlebaum; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William Earl and Mary Helen Forrester; sister-in-law, Regina Jesse Cox; nieces and nephews, Kolby Gilhousen, Kelsie Gilhousen, Andrew Quattlebaum, Emily Quattlebaum, Abbey Quattlebaum, Lauren Quattlebaum, and Madison Barber; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
