Richard James Betz

Richard James Betz, a resident of Dothan, passed away on July 7, 2020. He was 86 years old. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1 pm on Friday, July 10, 2020 in Sunset Memorial Park. Richard was born in Pennsylvania on August 4, 1933 to the late George and Minnie Betz. Richard served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. In his pastime, he enjoyed going to nearby casinos and playing bingo. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Richard is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Althea Wisser; and his brothers, Harold, and Clifford Betz. Richard is survived by his children, David Betz, and Debbie McIntyre; his two grandchildren, Aeriel (Brizale) Davis and Roman McIntyre; and his two great-grandchildren, Nalah and Noah Davis.
