Richard Lee Burrough

Richard Lee Burrough, a resident of Dothan, passed away on January 23, 2021. He was 89 years old.

A graveside service with full Military Honors will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park.

Richard was born in Mobile Alabama. He was raised in Yazoo County and Vicksburg Mississippi. He joined the Army in 1952 after High School. While station at France at NATO Shape Headquarters, he met the love of his life, his wife Odette. They had been married for 62 years until her passing. They had two kids a daughter and son. After 24 years of service, retired in the Dothan Area. He had multiple jobs has a mechanic. He finally retired from Better Brands Distribution of Dothan as their shop foreman. He started picking up baking as a hobby and serve has member of different organizations. During his service with organizations, he spread joy with his bake goods. Has his friends could attest, is bake goods were extraordinary. He was member of the V.F.W Post 3073, American Legion Post12, and the Elks Lodge 1887, all in Dothan.

Richard was preceded in death by his Mother Evelynn Jordan, his wife Odette Burrough and his daughter Sandy Burrough.

Survivors include his son, Rick Burrough from Fort Walton Beach, Florida; and numerous cousins, and friends from his three organizations.

A graveside service with full Military Honors will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park.
