Richard N. Thomas, a resident of Hartford, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at home. He was 67 years old.

A Celebration of Life to honor of Richard will be at 11 am on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at New Prospect Baptist Church in Hartford, Alabama. Family will greet friends an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Richard was born on February 20, 1953 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to E.L. Thomas Jr. and Bertie Green. He was a founding member of the L.A. Redneck Riders Motorcycle Club. Richard served in the United States Army. He drove trucks for Purdue and the XPO Logistics. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and taking his wife Tracy on day trips on the motorcycle. Above all he was a family man, where he would spend time with them any chance he had. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Melody; son, Sylmon; brothers, Russell Thomas and James Thomas.

Left to cherish the memories of Richard include his wife of 31 years, Tracy Thomas; children, Mack (Misty) Thomas; Hampton Thomas; Naomi (Phillip) Michon; grandchildren, Shannon and Skylar King; and Ryan, August and Liedwij ‘Lableu La Michon' Michon; brothers, Robert (Gail) Thomas and William (Janice) Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family members. A Celebration of Life to honor of Richard will be on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at New Prospect Baptist Church in Hartford, Alabama. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
