Robert Joseph Ford

Robert Joseph Ford of Bainbridge, Georgia passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge. He was 67.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11 am in Sunset Memorial Park Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 am on the day of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Ave., Dothan, AL 36303.

Mr. Ford was born on September 4, 1949 in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was raised in numerous places across the United States. He graduated from Carroll High School in Ozark, Alabama. Mr. Ford was employed with civil service at Fort Rucker for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching Auburn Football, and outdoors sports including fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Aloysius Ford and Mary Elizabeth Ford, and his wife Elizabeth Kay Ford.

Survivors include his sons, Robert (Beth) Ford, Jr. and Matthew (Bethany) Ford; his grandchildren, Max Ford, Ellye Ford, and Derek Ford; his siblings, William Joseph Ford, Frances Joseph (Mary Ruth) Ford, John Joseph (Leatrice) Ford, Mary Germaine (Scott) Burgess, and Laura Mary (Ken) Byrd; numerous nieces and nephews.
