Robert Bruce "Bob" Hall

Robert Bruce “Bob” Hall passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Sunday morning, December 1, 2013, with his wife, Christie, by his side. His life filled many with a special wit, humor and playfulness that will never be replaced nor will his love for us all be forgotten.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Glenda Granberry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Bob’s life was an amazing journey that included passages through the Navy, Auburn University and extraordinary successes and accomplishments in business as a Banker, and a Realtor, serving as President of the Dothan Board of Realtors, as well as President of the State Board of Realtors twice and State Realtor of the year, and most recently as an Appraiser, but he counted his family as his real treasure and his greatest success.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Harry P. Hall, and his mother, Edith Hall.

Today he is survived by the great love of his life, Christie, and when they married in 1989, his family grew even larger and included Rey Gustason Stephanie and their children, Noah and Somer of Marianna, FL, Daphne Marden John and their children, Zachary Marden and Amanda McNelley and her daughter, Isabella; his brother, Jim Hall Marion of Dothan and their children, Adam Hall Melissa and their daughters, Ashley Logan William, of Jacksonville, FL, Lauren and Courtney Hall of Gainesville, FL, Harry Hall of Dothan, and his children, Mary Grant and Preston, Phillip Hall of Dothan and Catherine Hall of Birmingham, AL; his sister, Harriet Diamond Chip and their children, Edie Ahola Esa and their children, Sara Canter Cameron, Atlanta, GA, Les Diamond, Atlanta, GA, Scott Diamond Dawn, Leesburg, VA, and their children, Hadley and Ty; his son, R. Bruce Hall Anne, and their children Meredith Hall of Lookout Mountain, GA, Mason Hall of Madison, AL and Madeline Hall of Dothan, Brian Wilson, and his children, Caleb and Riley, Kelly Rase Anthony, and John Wilson, all of DothanHiHis, Harry Lee Hall of Mobile, and his two daughters, Courtney and Caroline Hall; as well as several four-pawed family members.

Pallbearers will be Zach Marden, Mason Hall, Brian Wilson, John Wilson, Harry P. Hall and Phillip Hall.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Dothan Rotary Club, where Bob served many years including time as President of the local club, District Governor, and the International President’s Representative, and was awarded the club’s prestigious status as a Paul Harris Fellow.
