Robert Allen Leach

July 11, 1964 — August 14, 2024

Robert Allen Leach, a cherished father, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024, in Dothan, Alabama. Born on July 11, 1964, in Illinois, Robert's life was a vibrant journey filled with music, laughter, and the love of family and friends.

Robert, known affectionately as "Bob" to those closest to him, was a man of many talents and interests. He spent his professional life as a skilled welder at Colin Signs, now known as Cummings Signs, and as a mechanic, where he was respected for his meticulous work and problem-solving abilities. His hands were not only adept at building and fixing but also at creating music and art. Robert's passion for music was evident in his involvement with a garage band where he shared his love for singing rock music. His voice was a familiar and beloved sound to all who knew him.

A laid-back individual with a silly sense of humor, Bob could often be found sitting outside in his lawn chair, enjoying the simplicity of nature, or losing himself in the stories of his favorite western movies. His love for cars extended beyond his work as a mechanic, as he was a regular at car shows, admiring the craftsmanship and sharing stories with fellow enthusiasts.

Bob's creative spirit shone through in his hobbies, which included drawing and making movies. His crafty nature and artistic talents were a source of joy and inspiration to those around him. He was a man who found happiness in the small things, whether it was a good tune, a well-drawn picture, or the company of his loved ones.

Family was the cornerstone of Bob's life. He is survived by his son, Bobby Leach (Jamie), who inherited his father's love for music. Together, they shared unforgettable moments at rock concerts in Dothan, bonding over the electric atmosphere and melodies. His step-daughter, Brittany Naramore (Matthew), remembers Bob's infectious laughter and the warmth he brought to every room. Robert was also a proud uncle to his caretaker and niece, Michelle Pybus, and her daughter, Mackenzie Pybus. His sister, Pam Paige, niece, Amber Sailors, and her children, Stevie and CJ Bowen, will miss his presence dearly. He was a grandfather to Savannah Leach, and a step-grandfather to Halie and Balie Bass, each of whom brought him immense joy.

Bob's circle extended beyond blood relations, as he cherished his close friendships with Greg Rife, Julia Chambers, and Austin Enfinger, among many others. His ability to forge deep connections with people was one of his most remarkable traits.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Otis and Doris Leach, and his brother, Bill Leach. They have now welcomed Bob into eternal rest, where memories of their time together will be treasured forever.

Bob's legacy is one of love, laughter, and music. His spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched. His memory will be carried on in the strum of a guitar, the rev of an engine, and the quiet moments spent under the open sky. Robert Leach lived a life that was as rich and textured as the melodies he adored. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.

The world is a little less bright without Bob's laughter and music, but those who were fortunate enough to know him will continue to celebrate his life and the happiness he spread. Robert's story is not one of an end but of an enduring melody that will play on in the memories of his loving family and friends.
