Robert B. Palmer Sr.

Robert B. Palmer Sr., a resident of Dothan passed away on Friday, December 25, 2009 at his residence. He was 65.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 28, 2009 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thaxton Whiddon officiating. Burial will follow in Memphis Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.Mr. Palmer was born on July 10, 1944 in Ashford, AL and resided in Dothan most of his life. He worked for Carroll-Fulmer Trucking Company for several years prior to his retirement in 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Mildred Palmer, and his first wife Annette Condrey.Survivors include his wife Lucy M. Palmer of Dothan; sons, Robert Palmer Jr. and his wife Sonya of Dothan, Tim Palmer and his wife Pam of Dothan; a daughter Jan Skinner and her husband J.B. of Rehobeth; step-sons, Robert Haston Jenkins Jr. of Dothan, John Daniel Jenkins of Rehobeth, Steven Jenkins of Rehobeth; 4 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; a brother Marvin Wayne Palmer and his wife Esther of Ashford; several nieces and nephews also survive. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
