Robert Prueter

April 21, 1986 — February 16, 2025

Robert Prueter, Jr. passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 38. Born on April 21, 1986, in Heidelberg, Germany, to the late Robert and Shelia Prueter, Robert's vibrant spirit and infectious love for life left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

Robert's formative years were spent in his birthplace of Heidelberg, where he cultivated a love for adventure and the outdoors. This zest for life only grew as he moved through life, making friends and memories that would last a lifetime. A 2004 graduate of Enterprise High School, Robert's enthusiasm and charismatic personality made him a friend to many and a stranger to none.

As a father, Robert's world centered around his beloved son, Rylee Prueter. He instilled in Rylee the same passion for life that he himself carried. Robert's commitment to family extended to his fiancée, Tracey Walker, and her children, Tyson Walker, Danielle Wymbush, and Lah'Zae Futch, whom he embraced as his own; and Tracey’s mother, Betty Walker

Robert is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Lawrence and Fenisha Ashbury, Debbie and James Sutton, and Rosa Sutton. His life was further enriched by the presence of several cousins and his special friends, Willie Turner, Kelly Obermiller, Shonda Prince Malone, and the 41 Mud Mafia Family, who shared in his many adventures and exploits.

An ardent lover of the great outdoors, Robert found joy in mudding with friends, an activity that perfectly captured his free spirit and love for nature. His competitive side shone brightly when he played poker, a game where he loved to claim victory and enjoyed the camaraderie around the table. Pool halls would resonate with his laughter as he challenged friends to a game of billiards, always aiming for the win but cherishing the fellowship above all.

Robert's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. He was an avid gamer, finding solace and excitement in the virtual worlds of Xbox games, a hobby that allowed him to connect with friends and unwind. His love for cruises spoke to his desire to explore and experience new horizons, while his collection of shoes and sunglasses revealed a man who took pleasure in expressing his personal style.

As we bid farewell to Robert Prueter, Jr., we celebrate a life lived with gusto, a heart full of love, and a legacy of joy and connection. His memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him, and his stories will be told with fondness and smiles. Robert's presence may be missed, but the impressions he left on the world are indelible.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home.
