Rodney Frank Mosher

August 22, 1956 — February 8, 2014

Rodney Frank Mosher, age 57, of Newton passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the home of his step-father, Robert and Susan Horne following a 3 year courageous battle with cancer and emphysema.

Funeral Services will be Friday February 21, 2014 at 2:00PM at Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home, with Brother John McCullough officiating. Burial will follow at Newton City Cemetery with Robert Byrd Directing. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Frank was born on Aug. 22, 1956 in Panama City, Florida.  He was raised in Newton, AL. He graduated From Daleville High School in 1974. He worked construction several years before he began his 21 year career with Chemstrand and then Ascend in Pensacola FL until his illness forced him to retire and return to his home town in Newton, AL. He was of Methodist Faith. He was an Avid Nascar and Auburn Fan.

He was preceded in death by his Father Burton Cleris Mosher III, Mother, Barbara Jean Fain Horne and brother, Burt Mosher IV.

He leaves behind special memories with Stepfather, Robert & Susan Horne, Newton AL; 2 daughters, Tanya & Brian Daniels, Woodbury MN, Kristy & Andy Meyers, Vermillion MN; 1 Brother Mayor Lehman and Diane Irby, Newton, AL;  grandchildren, Keira & Lincoln Daniels, Charlie and MaKenzie Meyers; several Aunts, Uncles, nieces & nephews and cousins also survive; he also leaves behind dear and special friends to him in Pensacola FL, especially John & Sheila McLemore and Danny Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Brian Daniels, Andy Meyers, John McLemore, Danny Taylor, Cecil Owen and Danny Williams. Honorary Pallbearers are, Mayor Lehman Irby, Bernie Close and Kevin McKay.

His families love and special thanks go to Day Spring Hospice, especially Cherita Hayes, Carla, Erika, Marika and Bobby for all the love and care you gave Frank during his illness. Frank deeply loved and trusted you all.
