Roger Dale Mcdonald

Roger Dale McDonald, 60, of Dothan, passed away, Sunday, November 10, 2013.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stacy Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Mossy Head Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 pm until 1 pm Thursday.

Mr. McDonald was born June 25, 1953 in Hohenwald, TN and lived the early part of his life there. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served as an aircraft mechanic, and specializing in communications cables and antenna systems for 26 years prior to his military retirement in 1999. He was employed at Ft. Rucker for an additional 5 years as an aircraft mechanic prior to his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include  his sons, Vincent McDonald Phuong and Travis Allen Nga McDonald; a daughter Stacey D. Stewart; brothers, Earnest D. McDonald Brenda, Jerry McDonald, Thomas McDonald Teresa, and William Charles McDonald; sisters, Millie Jones and Patricia Ann Burr Sonney; the mother of his children, Aletah McDonald.
