A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Covenant United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
A 20-year veteran of the Baltimore County Police Department, he retired in 2006 and began his flight career. Moved to Dothan in 2011, he was a helicopter pilot instructor at Fort Rucker.
He is preceded in death by his father Roland J Greenwalt, Sr.
Left behind, a wife of almost 23 years, Kathleen Shields Greenwalt; twin 13 year old daughters, Madeline May and Lillian Grace Greenwalt; his mother, Diana Lynn Greenwalt; mother-in-law, Arlene Bowman Shields; brother-in-law, Michael Thomas (Dawne) Shields; two nephews, Alexander Michael Shields and Michael Anthony Shields; brother-in-law, Robert (Lindsay) Patrick Shields, who have two boys Kevin Michael and Aiden Patrick; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and an innumerable amount of friends who loved him.
