Ronald Murl Williams, 82, a resident of Dothan passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Williams was born February 14, 1933 in Columbus, Georgia and spent most of his life there. He was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army and later served in the Army National Guard. He was an electrician with IBEW for several years prior to his retirement in 1995. Mr. Williams enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Greystone United Methodist Church where he served as a teacher. He also attended Rose Hill Senior Center. He was preceded in death by his brother Bobby Rayford Williams. Survivors include his wife Kathleen Fuqua Williams; a daughter, Deborah Charley Overby; sons, Kenneth Cindy Williams and Stephen Debra Williams; a step-son, Gerald Chambless; a step-daughter Shearly Jean Chambless; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother Donald Williams; several nephews.
