Ronnie Ross, a resident of Pensacola, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL. He was 60.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Kolen officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Auburn Football Lettermen Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 828, Auburn, AL, 36830. Mr. Ross was born on June 5, 1949 in Decatur, AL and lived most of his life in Tuscaloosa. He was a graduate of Auburn University where he played football and served as team captain in 1970 and graduated in 1972. Ronnie will be remembered for much more than a play on a football field, he’ll be remembered as a good man who loved people and loved Auburn. He moved to Birmingham and resided there until moving to Pensacola in 2006. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents C.W. “Bill” Ross and Frances Price Ross, and his grandparents Cyrus W. Ross and Nora Brown Ross, M.A. Price and Foy Whittle Price. Survivors include a brother Edgar Ross of Pensacola, FL; a sister Martha Ross of Hot Springs, AR; his aunts and uncles, Jack Ross of Clopton, AL, Louise Price Marshall of Dothan, John Price of Dothan, Joe Wayne and Sharon Price of Ozark; several cousins and friends and the Auburn Lettermen Club Family also survive.rn Burial Date: January 1, 1970
