Rosie Marie Harris

Rosie Marie Harris, a resident of Dothan, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by family on Sunday, August 2, 2020. She was 78 years old. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm on Friday, August 7, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12-2 pm. Mrs. Harris was born on August 25, 1941 to John W. and Gertrude Bean. She was a loving wife and mother to her six children; she was Blessed to see her family grow to three generations and she loved them all dearly. Mrs. Harris was sacrificing, hardworking, homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and baking, her cakes and banana pudding were among our favorites. She loved to sew, she made beautiful clothes for her children growing up and curtains. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents and three of her siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Herbert Harris; her children, Willie Joe (Annette) Bean, GiGi (William) Kemp, David (Kim) McCall, Joe Nathan McCall, Jackie (Lara) McCall, and Maria (Gene) Duplantier; her thirteen grandchildren; her 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; her brother, Willie Bob Bean; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
