Sallie W. Maddox

Sallie W. Maddox, 69, of Dothan died Thursday, February 10, 2011.

Services will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brandon K. Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.Mrs. Maddox was born July 23, 1941 in Houston County and lived the early part of her life in Gordon, AL. She moved to Dothan in the 1950’s and graduated from Carver High School in 1960 and married the late Willie Maddox. Mrs. Maddox was employed as a seamstress with Wex-Tex for many years and was later employed with Ansell. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church and was the Chaplain for Circle #4 Mission.Survivors include her son Reginald Maddox Greta of Springfield, VA; 2 grandchildren, LaShandra Maddox and Barnard Maddox; sisters, Natalie Cook Dwight of Hawaii and Wanda Harrison Levi of Columbia, SC; a sister-in-law Jackie Stewart Bobby of Midland City; cousins, Rosa Scott of Cottonwood and Etheleen Robinson of New Jersey; several other family members also survive. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
