Sally Ann Alder Peterson

Sally Ann Alder Peterson, a devoted wife, loving mother and loved grandmother, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at her home. She was 83.

Memorial services will be 4pm Sunday, March 2, 2014 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Sterling Boykin and Dr. James Sanders officiating.  A reception will follow in the church parlor. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church “Youth Missions”, 1380 West Main Street, Dothan, Alabama 36301.

Mrs. Peterson was born July 26, 1930 in Santa Monica, California to the late George Herbert and Isabell Gill Alder. She married Major General M. Roger Peterson on April 25, 1952 at Beverly Hills, California. Sally and Roger were friends for 65 years and married for 61, during which they lived at 38 addresses in 9 States, and 2 foriegn countries on 3 continents in a lifelong adventure together.

Survivors include her devoted husband M. Roger Peterson; 4 loving sons, Bruce, Dale, Drew, and Paul; 6 affectionate grandchildren, Sarah, Elizabeth, Daniel, Caroline, Jacob, and Tawni-Lynn; 5 great-grandchildren.
