He enjoyed working construction, being outdoors, NASCAR, and spending time with friends and family.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Alice; his brothers Thomas, James and Raymond.
Sam is survived by his daughter April, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives, a special friend Kay Mathis, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, December 27, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
