Sara Elizabeth Dasinger, 82, of Midland City passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Heather Peacock officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL, 36303.
Mrs. Dasinger was born in Midland City and has lived all of her life in Dothan and Midland City. She was a Christian, a member of Midland City United Methodist Church, serving on several committee appointments through the years and as a member of the church choir where she was blessed with her beautiful soprano voice as a soloist. She was a homemaker and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie E. Dasinger, Jr. and granddaughter, Cristine Elaine Everett, parents James and Lola Durr, brother Max Durr, and sister Ruth Spooner.
Surviving relatives include four daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Jack Shiver, Lucy and Rodney Everett, Marolyn and Steve McLendon, Linda and Jim Ferleman; three grandchildren, Niki Nigel Aman, Marc Sarah McLendon and Amanda Steve Wright; three great grandchildren, Maeghan Aman, Christian and Connor McLendon; one niece Debbie Durr, Albany GA.
