Shannon Anderson Bowen

Shannon Anderson Bowen, a resident of Ashford, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021. She was 49 years old.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Harper's Joy Assembly of God Church with Pastor Eddie Littlefield officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Sunday at the church.

Shannon was born on November 1, 1971 in Dothan and has lived in the Cottonwood area most of her life. She was a 1990 graduate of Cottonwood High School. She would be employed with Sears for more than 22 years and with Southern Bone and Joint for 11 years before becoming owner of Love's General Store in Cottonwood. Shannon was a member of Harper's Joy Assembly of God Church.

Shannon was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Earl Anderson and by her brother, Anthony Lee Anderson.

Shannon is survived by her fiancé, Pete Love; her children, Nicole Bowen (Curtis Judy), Jessie (Jake) Johnson, and Ashleigh Bowen (Gage Parker); her grandchildren, Ryleigh Bowen, Adalyn Judy, Michael Johnson, Miller Johnson, and Maggie Johnson; her mother, Sarah Anderson Lowry; her siblings, Patricia (James) Carraway, Patsy Anderson, Mitchell (Gennie) Anderson; her extended family members, Sherry Love, Caden Love, Bailee Cochran, and Sadie Kate, Victor, Rex, and Linda Bowen; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Tyler Anderson, Anthony Anderson, Peyton Byrd, and Talon Byrd.
