Sharon Bright

Sharon Bright, a resident of Cottonwood passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010 at her residence. She was 61.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Newton City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-6 pm at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the residence of her brother Jerome Bright, 141 Dogwood Street, Midland City.Sharon was born on April 12, 1949 in Dale County and lived in Newton most of her life. She has resided in Cottonwood for the past 4 years. She attended Vaughn Blumberg Center for the past few years. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, O B and Frances Bright and her sister, Judy Bright. Survivors include her brothers Lamar Bright and his wife Shirley of Newton and Jerome Bright and his wife Mary of Midland City; nieces and nephews, Teresa Manasco, Ammie Bright, Danny Bright, Justin Bright, and Brandon Bright.The family would like to express a special thank you to the entire staff of the Pybus Group Home in Cottonwood.
