Shelley William Kirkland

Shelley William Kirkland a resident of Donalsonville, Georgia passed away Monday, October 21, 2019. He was 91. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Shelley was born on November 29, 1927 to the late Henry and Estelle Kirkland. He worked for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in Columbus, Chapter 1723, for over 30 years. Shelly enjoyed going to church with his family and fishing out on the waters of Lake Seminole. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Opal McCullough and Ada "Sugh" Williams; and one brother, Billy Joe Kirkland. Shelley is survived by his two sons, Steve ( Erin) Kirkland and Paul (Tracey) Kirkland; one daughter, Gail (Ronnie) Murkerson; seven grandchildren, Isaac (April) Bush, Stephen Kirkland, Sydney Kirkland, Emily Kirkland, Gracie Kirkland, Eve Kirkland, and Summer Murkerson; one great-grandchild, Taylor Bush; and one sister, Vickie Staab. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
