Steven Shannon Ramsey

Steven Shannon Ramsey, a resident of Ashford passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 27.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Baker officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5 to 7.Steven was born January 29, 1983 in Houston County and he resided the early years of his life in the Ashford and Pansey area. Steven was a 2001 graduate of Ashford High School and he joined the United States Army and was a veteran of the Iraq War. Following his active duty in the military he returned to Ashford in 2008 and resided there for the past two years.Survivors include his daughter, Alexis Ramsey, Geneva; his parents, Robert and Judith Reynolds, Ashford; his grandmother Sarah Brazier, Dothan; his brother, Keith Reynolds and his wife, Brandy, Pansey; his sister, Cassie Reynolds, Dothan; a niece, Sarah Beth Reynolds; nephews, Darran Reynolds, Hunter Reynolds, Zachary Reynolds and Seth Reynolds; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
