Susan Morrison

February 20, 1956 — February 1, 2021

Susan Morrison, age 64, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 1, 2021. She passed after a short, non-covid related, illness at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama while surrounded by family. She was born February 20, 1956 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Paul Flounlacker and Delores Lattimer.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 1:30 pm at the Stokes Activity Barn at Landmark Park. The family receive friends beginning at 11:30 am until the time of the service. To help celebrate the life of Susan, friends are welcome to attend in Mardi Gras colors.

In lieu of flowers, Susan’s memory would be honored by a donation to your favorite charity in her name.

Susan moved to Pensacola, as a young child. She met her husband, Steve, after graduating from Pensacola High School in 1974. After their marriage in 1978 they travelled to Orlando, FL, Ballston Spa, NY and Norfolk, VA during Steve's service in the Navy. They eventually settled in Dothan, Alabama where she was a beloved member of her community and a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Showcase Properties for 15 years. She was a member of Wiregrass Church and was also heavily involved in the City of Dothan affordable housing initiatives. She loved and enjoyed people immensely, fishing, dancing and spending time with her two granddaughters as well as family and friends.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Flounlacker and Delores Lattimer. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Stephen Morrison; her two sons, Michael (Sarah) Morrison and Keith (Hillary Skowronski) Morrison; her two grandchildren, Freya Annmarie Morrison and Saoirse Rosemarie Morrison; her stepmother, Betty Flounlacker; her brothers, Paul (De) Flounlacker Jr., Mike (Stephanie) Flounlacker, Jerry (Jennifer) Flanigan, and John (Heather Ziccardi) Flanigan; and her two sisters, Terry (Mike) Yarbrough and Julie Brackin.
