Teddy Loftin Brightwell

Teddy Loftin Brightwell, 54, a resident of Dothan passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. At all other times the family will be at the home of Mike and Michelle Quattlebaum. Teddy was born in Dale County on December 18, 1960 to Tom and Betty Brightwell and spent most of his life in Dothan. He attended Dothan High School. He loved playing softball, game hunting, and hunting for arrowheads. He was employed with Tony Fussell Construction as a home builder since 1998. Teddy was preceded in death by his father Tom Brightwell, and a sister Cindy Kirkland.

Survivors include his daughter Demi Brightwell and her mother Sandra Ray Sanders of Athens, AL; his mother Betty Brightwell of Dothan; his sister Michelle Mike Quattlebaum of Dothan; nieces and nephews, Chris Dana Kirkland, Jamie Brandi Quattlebaum, Courtney Redahan, and Josh Quattlebaum; a great niece and a great nephew.
