Thurman Allen Revis

Thurman Allen Revis, a resident of Dothan and formerly of Montgomery passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was 63.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2346 W. Main St., Dothan, AL, 36301.Mr. Revis was born on October 2, 1945 to Thurman Edward and Gladys Walker Revis in Montgomery, AL and lived most of his life there. He was a truck driver for most of his working life and retired 16 years ago in Montgomery. Mr. Revis moved to Dothan in February of 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Peggy R. Dickey, and a brother Gary L. Revis.Survivors include his children, Jo Ann Revis of Cottonwood, George Revis and his wife Charmaine of Newville, Jimbo Revis and his wife Tammy of Dothan; grandchildren, Chris Harvell and his wife Tori of Dothan, Allen Harvell of Dothan, Chelsey Revis of Newville, George “Buddy” Revis of Newville; great-grandchildren, C.J. Harvell of Dothan, Briley Harvell of Dothan; several nieces and nephews. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
