Timothy Bowen

Timothy Bowen, 52, of Ashford passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, January 2, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Ladon Croom officiating. Burial will follow in the Pansey Church of Christ Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Bowen was born January 24, 1961 in Houston County and lived in Ashford all of his life. He was engaged in farming for the past 19 years and was an avid hunter and was a talented carpenter. He also loved spending time with his family especially all of his grandchildren. Timothy was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Janet Bowen.

Survivors include his wife Diane Bowen; daughters, Tracy Todd Bruce, Christi Armstrong Joel, Haley Doswell Richard, and Teri Rottman; sisters, Faye Johnson, Cindy Lowery, and Lisa Smith; a brother John Bowen; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive.
