Toby Lee Baxley

Toby Lee Baxley, a resident of Cowarts passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at his residence. He was 35.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Deese officiating and Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday at the funeral home.Mr. Baxley was born on May 6, 1975 in Houston County and lived the early part of his life in the Dothan area. He graduated from Rehobeth High School in 1994 and attended the Paramedic Program at Wallace College. He was employed with Pilcher’s Ambulance Service and later with Dothan Motor Company as an Auto Mechanic / Technician until his illness. Toby was married to Kimberly Parrish on June 21, 1996. He was an avid fisherman and a devout Auburn Tiger Football Fan. Toby was preceded in death by his mother Marie Baxley, his grandfathers Foy Baxley and W. T. Clark, and an uncle Jimmy Baxley. Survivors include his wife of 14 years Kimberly Baxley of Cowarts; a son Kyle Baxley of Cowarts; his father Jerry Baxley of Slocomb; grandfather Edward Hamm of Kennesaw, GA; grandmother Lilla Pearl Baxley of Dothan; 2 brothers, Kevin Baxley and his wife Cyndi of Slocomb and Todd Baxley and his wife Gina of Dothan; a niece Breanne Baxley; 2 nephews Coleman Baxley and Storm Baxley; several aunts and uncles; father and mother-in-law Leon and Cathy Trimm of Cowarts. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
