Toby Frank Johnson, a resident of Malvern, AL, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. He was 75. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stuart Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-7 pm. Mr. Johnson was born on June 28, 1942 in Dothan, Alabama and lived the early part of his life in Savannah, GA and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam War. He has been a resident of the Wiregrass Area for over 40 years. Mr. Johnson was the owner/operator of Toby's Automotive and Johnson Mobile Home Movers. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and getting together with his family and was known as the family "problem solver." Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Flossie Ott Johnson, and his son, Stacy Monroe Johnson. Survivors include his children, Pamela (Richard) Kritzmire, Kimberly Adair Atkinson, Joey Retherford, Toby Chas (Crystal) Johnson, and Sky Johnson; his 6 grandchildren, Cody Collins, Mickel (Mike) Burns, Cole Atkinson, Trevor Atkinson, Blakely Ann Johnson, and Charley Mae Johnson; his 2 great-grandchildren, Christian Collins and Ariya Burns; his brother, Jeff (Wanda) Johnson; and his sister, Sharon (John) Drangula; his best friend, Ken Justice. Serving as active pallbearers will be Cole Atkinson, Trevor Atkinson, Cody Collins, Scott Chambers, Jace Johnson, Bryce Johnson, Bradley Smith, and John Walton.
