Tommy Graddy

Tommy Graddy, 62, a resident of Ashford passed away September 6, 2018 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stan Usry officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1pm - 2pm on Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to unitedspinal.org. Tommy was born on October 31, 1955 in Clarksville, TN and moved to Dothan at an early age. He was a 1974 graduate of Dothan High School and attended Wallace Community College. Tommy met the love of his life, Penny Summerford and they married in 1976. He worked for Summerford Truck Line and later with the State of Alabama as an inspector for a many years. Tommy loved sports and was an avid Auburn football fan. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and going to the family farm and Compass Lake with his family and his dogs. Tommy loved people and loved life, he always had a smile on his face. Survivors include his wife, Penny Graddy; his daughters, Sallie (Cliff) Ford, Katy Graddy, and Jana (Jason) Foxworth; his 2 grandchildren, Jordan Foxworth and Kayla Ford; his sisters, Iris Anne Wilson and Susan Crist; nieces and nephews, Nealy Shirah, Julee Lasseter, Susy Spann, Whitt Wilson, and Abby Payne Sheehan. The family is especially grateful for his caregiver, Brenda Cordle. Burial Date September 9, 2018
