Tony Wayne Danford

Tony Wayne Danford, a resident of Ashford, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020 lovingly surrounded by his family at his residence. He was 56 years old. A celebration of his life will be held at 3 pm on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at The Red Barn. The family will receive friends at The Red Barn on Tuesday from 2-3 pm. Flowers are being accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Tony was born on February 2, 1964 in Enterprise, AL and lived in Ashford for most of his life. He was a 1982 graduate of Ashford High School. He was a hard-working, devoted family man and will be remembered as their hero. Tony was a die-hard Alabama Fan, Roll Tide! He also enjoyed playing Billiards and participated in several APA Tournaments. Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Ellawayne Danford. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Cheryl Danford; his daughters, Jessica Miller and Cassie (James) Metzger; his grandchildren, Stephen Miller and Paisyn Rayne Metzger; his father, Jimmy Danford; his brother, Timmy (Tammy) Danford; his sisters, Brenda (Danny) Lyndall and Tracy Mooney; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
