Tony Pelham

October 7, 1939 — July 9, 2017

Mr. Tony Pelham of Dothan passed away at his home on Sunday, July 9, 2017 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He was 77.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2pm on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Sanders officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1pm until 2pm Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 1231 Fortner St. Dothan, AL 36301.

Mr. Pelham was born October 7, 1939 in Graceville, FL to the late James D. and Inez Ramsey Pelham. He graduated from Graceville High School and attended Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, FL. Mr. Pelham began his career with Massey Ferguson and over a 40-year sales career worked with DeKalb Seed Co, Coker's Pedigreed Seed Co, Agratech Seeds, Inc. before retiring with Southern States.

Mr. Pelham married the love of his life, Anne Davis of Geneva, AL on August 22, 1964 in Geneva, AL and they enjoyed 53 wonderful years together. He was a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and loyal attendee of the Fellowship Sunday school class.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James D. Pelham and his brothers Mack and Dennis Pelham.

Mr. Pelham leaves behind his loving wife, Anne Davis Pelham; his son Jason Anthony Pelham and his wife Frances Hutchinson Pelham; sister Carol Pelham Hale and brother Doug Pelham; sister-in-law Freida Burcham Davis and brother-in-law George Davis; several nieces and nephews, other extended family and many friends.
