Tyler Carl Wilsdorf, a resident of Dadeville, AL passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 in Clarksville, TN.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, February 6, 2014 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Gainey of Lake Martin Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm on Thursday.
Tyler was born on August 10, 1990 in Florence, Alabama and lived many years of his life in Florence. While in high school, he participated in track and golf team. He was a 2009 graduate of Brooks High School in Killen, Alabama. Tyler joined the US Army and served 3 years having served in Operation Afghan Freedom. During his service he was awarded several medals including the Purple Heart, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Tyler was a member of the Lake Martin Baptist Church. Tyler was preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Wilsdorf, Sr.
Survivors include his parents, Don Joy Wilsdorf and Sherri Jeffery Wright; his brother, Tucker Wilsdorf; his two sisters, Jordan Dempsey and Tori Wilsdorf; his grandparents, Jeanette Wilsdorf and Robert and Ramona Laird; his aunts, Misti David Caddell, Michelle Mouser, Shea Brown, Donna Glenn Cook, and Shirley Todd Jeffcoat; his cousins, Hudson Caddell, Blake Jennifer Pendleton, Crystal Pendleton, Trevor Forrester, Kristin Pate, and Caley Gill; and numerous extended family members and friends also survive.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Blake Pendleton, Trevor Forrester, Vincent Feggins, Mikeal Jenkins, Clay J. Berry, Phillip Camarda and Kevin Dixon.
