Valerie Michelle Oliver, a resident of Midland City passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at her residence. She was 32.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 19, 2009 at Newton Assembly of God Church with Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Newton City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Oliver was born on January 3, 1977 in Dale County and resided most of her life there. She has lived in Midland City for the past year and was a homemaker. She was a 1995 graduate of Dale County High School and was a member of the Dale County Marching Band. Michelle loved riding horses and competed in barrel racing winning several awards and trophies. She attended Newton First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband Christopher Oliver of Midland City; a son Jason Tyler Bell of Ozark; daughters, Chrislynn Paige Oliver of Midland City, Rylee Haze Oliver of Midland City, Jessica Lynn Maibaum of Buzzards Bay, MA, Alexis Justine Seaton of Buford, GA; parents, Barbara Kilpatrick of Newton, Roger Coots and his wife Judy of Ozark; grandmothers, Sallie Kilpatrick of Ozark, Margaret Coots of Newton; mother-in-law Dianne Oliver of Midland City; brothers, Bradley Hughes of Newton, Roger Coots of Ozark; a sister Savannah Hughes of Newton; a step-brother Ashley Barker of Navarre, FL.
