Vaughn M. Stalford, Jr., 77, of Hartford passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at a local hospital.

rnServices will be held 2 pm Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Adams officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. rnMr. Stalford was born February 16, 1934 in Wilkes-Barre, PA and lived the early years of his life in Monroeton, PA. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 20 years prior to his retirement in 1971. He lived in Great Falls, MT and was employed as a bus driver. He resided in Barstow, CA prior to moving to Hartford in 1996. Mr. Stalford was employed with Bay Limousine and Amigo Scooter at the time of his death. rnSurvivors include his wife Patricia Stalford of Hartford; his sons, Douglas Stalford Monica of California, Bill Stalford Betty of Tennessee, Thomas Stalford Dawn of Washington, Donald Stalford of California, and Daniel Stalford Nori of Washington; daughters, Tracy Thomas Richard of Hartford and Crystal Arnold James of Hartford; 3 grandchildren, Abbigail Arnold, Hampton Thomas, and Naomi Thomas; sisters, Peggy Singer and Sandra Statkiewicz of Pennsylvania.
