Verna Lisa Knight

Verna “Lisa” Knight, a resident of Taylor, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2009 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 51.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 2855 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, AL, 36301. Graveside services will be held in North Carolina at a later date.Ms. Knight was born on July 27, 1958 in Waynesville, NC and resided there for 42 years. She moved to Dothan in 2001 was employed with Lowe’s until her recent illness. She attended New Freedom Church in Webb, AL.Ms. Knight was preceded in death by her father Alfred J. Knight.Survivors include her son Andrew “Andy” Knight of Dothan; her mother Glennie “Dottie” Knight of Dothan; a brother William Knight and his wife Fran of Newark, OH; a sister Elizabeth “Liz” Faulk and her husband James of Dothan. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
