Vickie Lynn Stephens, age 46, of Southern Junction, AL, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, September 17, 2021.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Sydney Miller officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be may to glioblastoma cancer research.

Born to Alan and Judith MacGillivray on January 12, 1975 in Flint, MI. She graduated from Flushing High School in 1994 and then joined the US Army in August, 1995. Vickie was a member of the Dothan Newcomers Club and a member of the Southern Junction Volunteer Fire Department. She loved her animals and being outdoors. Vickie was a fun, easy going person, that loved being around people and helping them anyway she could.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Todd Stephens; her father, Alan (Phyllis) MacGillivray; her mothers, Judith MacGillivray and Cathy Stephens; her brothers, Rex (Kelly) Carter, Rory Carter, Brent (Lisa) Stephens; her sisters, Randi (Paul) Rowe, Carrie Stephens, and Sharon Griffin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Last but not least, her fur babies, Gunner, Sadie, Maggie, and Lucky.

In addition, we would like to send a special Thank You to the Dothan Newcomers Club for all the support, love, and assistance they showed us through this difficult time. And a very special thank you to the staff at Daysprings Hospice that took excellent care of Vickie with respect and dignity, but most of all treated her like a friend and made her comfortable.
