Wallace Wade Mitchell, Jr.

Wallace Wade Mitchell, Jr., a resident of Level Plains, Alabama passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at his residence. He was 59.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11 am at United Pentecostal Church of Dothan with Bro. Phillip Harrelson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2017.

Mr. Mitchell was born on October 3, 1958 in Dothan and lived in Pensacola, Florida the early years of his life. He joined the US Army and was stationed in Italy. Mr. Mitchell returned to Pensacola and resided in Rose Hill, North Carolina before moving to Enterprise, Alabama, where he lived for the past 30 years. Mr. Mitchell was a very religious man, he put God first in everything he did. He was a good and faithful servant. Mr. Mitchell was also an avid coin collector, had a passion for genealogy, and was a big Alabama Fan. He and his wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Wade Mitchell, Sr., his 2 sisters, Carol Dunn and Tonya Greiner, and by his brother, Stephen Mitchell.

Survivors include his wife, Nickie Mitchell; his son, Paul (Agnese) Mitchell; his 3 grandchildren, Liwia Mitchell, Damian and Dominick Stephens; his mother, Juanita Gardner; his step-mother, Sybilla Mitchell; his brother, Steven Mitchell; his 4 sisters, Glenda (Mike) Dugas, Myra McCloud, Cynthia Douglas, and Pamela Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
