Walter Alfonso Meredeth

Walter Alfonso "Walt" Meredeth Jr., 73, a resident of Dothan passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at a local hospital.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Meredeth was born June 17, 1941 in Houston County and lived in Dothan the early part of his life. He resided in St. Petersburg, FL and Dallas, TX prior to moving back to Dothan in 1965. He worked with his father with Meredeth and Sons Electric, and later owned and operated Advanced Refrigeration for 25 years. He was a member of the Local 52 Pipe Fitters Union in Montgomery, AL.

Survivors include his sons, Jim Darcy Meredeth, Raymond Margie Meredeth, and Steven Meredeth; grandchildren, Blake Meredeth, Tyler Lake, and Alyssa Lake; brothers, Joel Gayle Meredeth and Phillip Pam Meredeth; sisters, Judy Joe Hart and Nancy Colella; several nieces and nephews.
