Wanda Maloy Mcbrearty

Wanda Maloy McBrearty, a resident of Dothan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at her residence. She was 57.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Covenant United Methodist Church with Rev. Kyle Gatlin officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to United Service Organizations, (USO).

Wanda was a rock of strength and comfort to her family and friends. Her strong personality and loving kindness directed her roles as a devoted military spouse, mother of two adoring sons, tennis partner, and loving daughter, sister, and friend. Wanda's many acts of kindness were totally without expectation of any recognition or feedback. She leaves behind many special traditions and wonderful memories for those she loved. Her gifts were truly that…gifts. Rest now and know that you are loved.

Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Aubrey Adolphus Maloy and by her brother, Aubrey Maloy.

Survivors include her husband, Sean McBrearty; her two sons, Sean (Sam) McBrearty and John (Jack) McBrearty; her mother, Louise Reeves Maloy; her brother, Wayne Maloy; her sister, Mary Maloy; and many other loving family members and friends.
