Waymon Oshawn Rivers

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Rivers was born January 15, 1978 to the late Janice Walker. He enjoyed gathering with family to listen to music, dance and telling plenty of jokes. He attended Houston County High School and worked for Wayne Farms for 3 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Janice Walker and Jerry Rivers.

He leaves behind his children, Octavis Rivers (Krystal), Angelica Rivers (Bean), Jasmine Rivers (Daveyon), Brodrick Wells (Madelynn), Waymon Rivers, Adam Carroll and Layla Rivers; four grandchildren, Alaya, Dylan, Aiden and Taylan; eight brothers, Wallace Rivers, Jerry Rivers, Akbar Rivers, Maurice Johnson, Chris Johnson, Marcus Johnson, Willie Johnson and Kevin Dorsey; one nephew, Jervon Rivers; one niece, Khloe Rivers; his grandmother, Shirley Jackson; lifetime friend, Brian Waters; a close cousin Malikah Rivers; and a host of cousins, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
