Wayne Herbert Horn

Wayne Herbert Horn, a resident of Cowarts, AL passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at his residence surrounded by family. He was 78 years old.

A celebration of his life will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, April 18, 2021 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-3 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Ave., Dothan, AL 36303.

Wayne was born to the late Herbert and Virginia Horn on October 16, 1942 in Minnesota. He worked with Globe Motors for over 50 years. He loved to travel and especially loved taking cruises. Driving to Vegas was one of his favorite vacations. Wayne loved to gamble in Biloxi, MS. Everyone who knew Wayne loved him and if they had a problem, he's the one they went to for advice.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Virginia Schmidt Horn, his brother, Robert Horn, and his daughter, Sonja Horn.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 16 years, Gloria Horn; his sons, Chance (Mae) Horn, Trent (Angel) Horn, and Brett (Sylvia) Horn; his stepchildren, Robin (Ted) Blackburn, Loretta Piasecki, and Robert Piasecki, Jr.; his 14 grandchildren; his 6 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Charlene Roberts and Marceline (Brian) Proctor; and several nieces and nephews.
